Ocean's 8 💃 Film Review

Written by Thelonia

My main takeaway from Ocean's 8 is that I will literally watch women do anything in a movie and have a blast, and also that John Mulaney must rue the day he made that "women could never pull off  an Ocean's 11 type heist" joke from 2012, at least if his twitter mentions from the past few weeks are anything to go by.

Game Night 🎲 Film Review

Written by Thelonia

Max and Annie are those people when it comes to games. Every week they host Game Night with their friends Ryan, Kevin, and Michelle. But between avoiding their overly interested and wildly deadpan neighbor Gary who keeps trying to get invited to Game Nights, and Max's much more successful brother Brooks, this Game Night promises a lot more challenges than they're prepared for.

We know that in this age of "too much content" it can often be hard to find a new show to watch. So we figured, why not make it easy? Dream Daddy 💖 Game Review

Written by Thelonia

Well, here we are.

If you have read the title of this review, then you already have an impression of what this is going to consist of. And I am here to tell you it's not what you'd think of at first, but it also is 100% what you think it is. To be honest the worst part about Dream Daddy is having to say the name out loud to people when you want to recommend they play it (which they should, it's cute and funny and deserves the love it's getting).

My Brother, My Brother and Me 👨‍👨‍👦 TV Show Review

Written by Tia

What sweet nerds. Podcast kings and brothers Justin, Travis, and Griffin McElroy have, at long last, come out with a 6-episode TV show to accompany their 300-episode podcast, My Brother, My Brother and Me. And what a triumph it is.

Lovesick 💑 TV Show Review

Written by Tia

Although the pitched concept is very interesting on its own, Lovesick goes in a different direction than you might expect. The idea is as follows: A young man discovers he has an STD, and must contact all of his lovers from the past few years to inform them so they can get checked themselves. Then, along with him, you are both vaulted into the flashback of how he and x, y, or z woman ended up having sex/a relationship/etc., and watch him confront her in present day. But what I found surprising was the parallel story of the protagonist's "will they, won't they, why can't they" relationship with his close friend.

October is the one month when it becomes socially acceptable to watch as many horror movies as you can physically take. I however, am one of those people that watches horror movies the entire year round (there is a reason I wrote my thesis in college about werewolves after all). In honor of the month horror movies, here's a list of some great horror movies I recommend!
