"I Fall to Pieces" is a more literal title than you may have thought.

We open on the latest episode of Wynonna Earp with Wynonna gettin' busy with Charlie in the fire station. Which already is iffy because I'm onto you Charlie I'm onto you villain, but also because it's the daytime! And the station is full of people. Which, for fun, also includes Nicole, who's dropped by to touch base before she takes on her role of Sheriff.

And yes, this whole scene does lead up to a walk of shame down the fire station.

Back at the station, Nicole and Wynonna get paired up by Nedley to go through his hidden office closet where he keeps everything he's encountered over the years in the department that seemed to be supernatural. It is surprisingly deep and full of random stuff.

Wynonna doesn't take the whole thing too seriously since she's figured out that this whole thing was a set up on Nedley's part to make the two of them work more together, which does not work as their personalities clash, resulting in the breakage of a mysterious object from the closet.

So that's seven years bad luck.

And that's actually exactly what happens!

As soon as Nicole returns home to meet with Bunny Loblaw and confince her she is the right choice for Sheriff. Unfortunately, this woman does not like cats. Also she's a wild homophobe. Also an unrepentant racist.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

It's only when Bunny turns around and spots the strange being that rose when the mysterious object  broke (I'm sorry I thought it was an urn for the whole episode until the end of episode reveal and I'm having a hard time not saying what it in fact is for spoilers) at the window.

That's what you get when you're homophobic.

Bunny keels over with a cry of "ISIS" which is surprisingly not the last we see of her as Nicole and Wynonna take it upon themselves to save her. Sadly, due to their recent string of bad luck, this ends in Bunny being driven away by a couple of carjackers to a revenant bar, where Wynonna and Nicole have to play a drinking game with revenants, which doesn't end great since their streak of bad luck continues to Wynonna getting caught cheating.

This manages to work out because the thing that was haunting them manages to catch them up and takes out the revenants. Mixed blessing?

Jeremy and Waverly have taken it upon themselves to glue together the mirror and mysterious object (I GET IT I GET IT WE'RE SO CLOSE TO FIXING IT), all the meanwhile Wynonna and Nicole attempt to convince the being that the other would be the perfect wife, meaning for once they're complimenting each other.

Also, this man is a gnome.

We love supportive couples that do puzzles and attempt to sell the other one out to a gnome as a wife together.

Anyways it turns out the mysterious object was a gnome wife for this gnome being and as soon as the entire thing is put back together he walks away with it, perfectly satisfied with his lawn gnome wife. At least it wasn't Nicole?

Mama Earp, who's been using Doc as an Uber the entire episode, reveals her plans to skip town (again), which he tries to talk her out of. Unfortunately for him, due to his many, many shortcomings in the "sticking around and being reliable" category, he's not really got a solid piece of land to stand on while he casts judgement on her. She is, instead of sticking around for her girls, going to go out and find Julian, whom Bobo has told her was dumped by Ward outside the Ghost River Triangle.

As Nicole wraps things up in the station, she discovers, thanks to Wynonna's meddling and general nosiness that the person who saved her from the Cult of Bulshar attack was in fact, young Nedley. This is a lot for both of them and they cried and I cried and I'm just so happy you guys.

Hug. Hug. Hug. Hug. Hug! Hug! Hug! Hug!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

For an emotional 180, in an earlier subplot, we saw Doc's hand being burned up because of the Bulshar ring, which are interacting badly (double immortality not an option here). This ends in him handing in

Make better life choices, everyone.

Also things you don't think of when bargaining your soul for immortality: you are very easily banned from any building. Something which Wynonna takes full advantage of here as she tells Doc he's no longer welcome in her house. Suck it, vampire.

Things to look out for (aka: I HAVE CONCERNS):
  • Bobo's out and about but no sign of him so far...god bless. Hoping for that fur coat.
  • Doc. Please seek a therapist. You have bad coping mechanisms.
  • Mama Earp is going outside the Ghost River Triangle to find Julian, which does sort of indicate that he isn't anyone we've seen so far, but also: Bobo is a lying liar, so...

Doc and Wynonna's relationship just keep getting rougher, and Mama Earp just skipped out, so really everything is about on track for this family, and by that I mean, bad. Let's hope things don't get too wild with all the other wild cards out and about now, but as we head into our last 5 episodes, I am concerned. Emily, don't hurt me, I'm fragile!

You can watch Seasons 1 & 2 of Wynonna Earp on Netlix and Season 3 is currently playing on SyFy.
