The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle ⁉️ Book Review

Written by Thelonia

Aiden wakes up in the woods. He doesn't know where he is, who he is, or who it was he just saw being chased across the lawn. All he knows is he has to help someone. Someone called Anna.

This was marketed to me (meaning I quickly read the synopsis and decided I needed to read it) as a sort of video game story where you have to relive a specific day/sequence over and over until you solve the murder, sort of in the vain of one of my favorite books from teen years, Heir Apparent. Without going to much into it, that is not exactly what happens.

It is hard to talk about everything that happens in this novel, to do so would not only be massively confusing (and rather long), it would also take the form of a very big cork-board flowchart with red string to explain the ties between all the characters and clues, which, when you add in the time-travelling, multiple universe aspects, just gets so vast and complex it's almost mind blowing.

Definitely check out The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle if you like mysteries (especially if you also happen to like Science Fiction), and especially if you like a little bit of a mind-bender.

The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is available everywhere books are sold.
