SOME MAJOR SPOILERS IN SUMMARY BELOW:
In the 10th episode of All in Good Storytime, we begin reading chapters 1-8 of Authority, the sequel to Annihilation. We return to the world of Area X, where we meet the character Control, who has taken over as Director of the Southern Reach. We discuss our reactions to the big reveal that the psychologist was the former director of the Southern Reach, question what makes the biologist so special, make predictions regarding what happened to the rabbits following the scientists' experiment with them, talk about dead mice, and make numerous connections between Area X, Area 51, and The X-Files.
